Housing is a mix of historic and new, with many three deckers lining the streets. In recent years, homeowners have been restoring the historic homes of the area to their former glory. The top of Eagle Hill has many restored Victorian mansions and Sea Captain homes. Webster Street in the Jeffries Point section also has many historic homes, the same brick bow fronts one would find in Beacon Hill or Charlestown and the former home and birthplace of President John F. Kennedy's father Joseph P. Kennedy.
